Congratulations to our Photography graduate Belle Ancell, for having her work featured in the 10x10 Photography Project Exhibit in Toronto. The project celebrates Queers in the Arts by featuring 10 portraits by 10 queer photographers every year. Belle had the opportunity to travel to Toronto for the opening (in left photo).
In addition, her 10x10 project was accepted into this year's Queer Arts Festival Curated Show at the Roundhouse in Vancouver, and our Lead Instructor Christopher Morris dropped by last week's opening to lend her his support (in photo below). This exhibition is up until August 9th at the Roundhouse.
Belle has also shot several covers for Xtra West Newspaper, and works for us at VanArts as our program assistant for the Digital Photography program. She shares, "One thing I learned at VanArts from my instructors was the value of doing personal projects. I am reaping the rewards of following that advice now with this one project!"
