Several animators who got their training at VanArts recently got to collaborate on a direct-to-DVD project for Scholastic/Weston Woods. The project was a short animated adaptation of the childrens' book The Librarian from the Black Lagoon by Mike Thaler, and illustrated by Jared Lee. VanArts grad Galen Fott directed the film through his own company, Grundoon Enterprises (www.grundoon.com). Other VanArts grads who worked on the film were Micah Baker, Lindsey Layne King, Ken Priebe, Andy Simpson and Kevin Yowell.
The DVD is available here and is marketed as an educational story for ages 5-8. Congratulations to all who made it an exciting project!
